And they would be right because they grew up when the company Kenner Products was still in business. What’s Kenner Products? Kenner Products was a toy company that rose in popularity in the 1960s-70s. They were so successful in their toy-selling business that they were eventually acquired by Tonka and who was later bought by Hasbro who closed Kenner offices and merged their products in with theirs.

In this time where the purchasing of action figures, toys, and other collectibles is its highest, Kenner is back as division of Hasbro to produce more of the toys that were so beloved in the 70s. Their niche this time however is a bit different than they were before; instead of marketing action figures and games towards children, their target audience will be the teens and adults who enjoy science fiction and fantasy content such as Star Wars, Marvel, Avatar, etc. The products will be figures of the most popular characters of the genres and any prop associated with the provided content. This rebranding will help Hasbro reach out to more buyers and diversify their catalog without strongly associating it with their children’s products.
